Tactile Grid Music Creation

Screens, LEDs, and sliders are common components of digital music interfaces. The interaction choices for the musician are in a completely different order than with traditional musical instruments, where the artist feels the influence of the instrument while playing. Digital music interfaces serve as a bridge between two actors in the music creation process: the computer and the artist. This thesis explores approaches to digital music composition from the interface to generate haptic feedback in order to develop a more intuitive digital instrument.
