FabLabs in the border region (Interreg IV) (2011-2015) encouraged cooperation between students and researchers from universities and university colleges, as well as industry and the social economy, in establishing and supporting several FabLabs in Flanders and The Netherlands (border region).
As a long-time manager and co-founder of Fablab Genk. In Genk, we established a lab where creatives, thinkers, and inventors may freely explore and discover the possibilities of creating using digital fabrication equipment. They not only obtain a lot of information this way, but they can also swiftly pass this knowledge on to the other lab visitors. This develops a community of makers who work on a variety of projects together while supporting and aiding one another.
